About Rebecca
Rebecca Marfise is a contemporary painter that lives outside of Chicago, Illinois. She studied Art and Writing at DePauw University and currently works as a high school art teacher in the city of Chicago.
While working full time and raising four children, Rebecca gradually began to carve time out to pursue her passion of painting. As her children grew, she was able to dedicate more time to her craft.
Inspired by everyday beauty, Rebecca strives to recreate and share the small moments that bring her joy and contemptment in her everyday life. This is usually done in the form of colorful landscape paintings that are meant to evoke a positive emotional response.
